Activities listed here have a clearly defined theme and describe how, when, and where they will take place.

The Use of Isotopes as Tracers in a Marine Environment

Dr. Sarah Knowlton will discuss the use of stable environmental isotopes, including oxygen isotopes as tracers of climate and stable lead isotope ratios as tracers of contaminant lead. Her research involves the use of lead isotope ratios to trace the source of lead to the Gulf of Maine, Scotian Shelf, and Labrador Sea.
