Here, you can submit activities for consideration and, after a short review, they will be listed below and any related events will populate the IYC calendar. Activities listed here have a clearly defined theme and describe how, when, and where they will take place.

Me Too Drugs: R&D Innovations or Imitations?

A “me too” drug is similar in chemical structure or has the same mechanism of action as the protype. According to the 2004 FDA report, only about one-third of the drug license application approvals over the preceding eight years were considered as ‘new’.

Spanish Commemorative Coin for the International Year of Chemistry

In response to a request from the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry, member of Foro QUÍMICA y SOCIEDAD, the “Real Casa de la Moneda” minted a new collector coin whose legends and motifs are dedicated to the International Year of Chemistry and the centennial of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry to Marie Curie.
