Chemistry Poster Competition to celebrate IYC 2011 in India

The Association of Chemistry Teachers has organised a Chemistry Poster Competition for students and teachers all over India. The posters will highlight the excitement and challenges of Chemistry as also the its rich contributions to the wellbeing of mankind. The best posters will be exhibited at different institutions.

On May 14th the chemistry departments at Simon Fraser University and Douglas College will host an afternoon of chemistry related hands-on activities, demonstrations and challenges to engage, educate and entertain the general public. This event will take place at Simon Fraser University's Burnaby Campus.

Hands-On Water Analysis Activity

Visiting chemists come into Gr. 4-6 classrooms in the Edmonton region and give a presentation on basic water testing. Under the guidance of these chemists, the students test their own water samples.
