In this section, your ideas for IYC2011 can start to become reality. Here, you can submit activities for consideration and, after a short review, they will be listed below and any related events will populate the IYC calendar. Activities listed here have a clearly defined theme and describe how, when, and where they will take place.

Essential2Life 5k

This race is designed to highlight the role of chemistry as “essential2life”. The race will benefit the American Red Cross, whose services are likewise essential. The event includes the 5K run, a 3K walk, a “kids sprint,” a fair to showcase our companies, raffle prizes and various educational and entertainment activities.
American Chemical Society's IYC Bulletin

Distributed monthly, the IYC Bulletin is intended to reach out to those individuals involved in grassroots promotion of the IYC in order to share information, resources, and best practices for the planning and execution of IYC programs, events, and initiatives.

The IYC 2011 slogan Chemistry - Our Life, Our Future is translated into a dozen languages to reach as many people as possible.
Texas Christian University Library IYC Book Display

This book display will feature chemistry books on a variety of topics. The display will be in the lobby of the Texas Christian University Library in Fort Worth, Texas. Also included will be information on using chemistry information resources, both print and online. This display will be available January-February, 2011.
Chemistry in the Science Museum

Bring chemistry into the local Science Museum at no extra cost for all visitor. The Chemistry Demo are lined up with the California Science Curriculum Standards. The demos are carried out by undergraduates in order to spark their interest in Chemistry Education
