Description:
The workshop will cover topics including commercialisation of research, patenting, importance of searching prior art, and exploiting intellectual property, with particular reference to the field of chemistry. Representatives of Patents & Licenses, the Bayerische Patentallianz GmbH will present the perspectives of national aspects of dealing with intellectual property, and representatives from spin-off companies will present case studies of successful exploitation of IP assets in order to encourage research and innovation.

§ Practical information on the use of patents as a source of scientific knowledge.
§ Identification of key steps in the management of IP.
