The Indian Journal of Chemsitry, Sec A celebrates chemistry in the International Year of Chemistry with a special issue on Bioinorganic Chemistry
The Indian Journal of Chemistry, Sec A (IJCA) is a research journal publishing results of primary research in inorganic, bioinorganic, theoretical, physical and analytical chemistry. A peer-reviewed scholary research journal, IJCA is published every month by the National Institute of Science Communication And Information Resources (NISCAIR, www.niscair.res.in), CSIR, India. IJCA is an open access journal with free access to the full text of all articles and is available at our open access repository, http://nopr.niscair.res.in.
In the International Year of Chemistry 2011, we celebrate the excitement that is chemistry with a special issue on bioinorganic chemistry. This issue is guest edited by Prof S Mazumdar (TIFR, Mumbai), Prof R N Mukherjee (IIT Kanpur, Kanpur) and Prof C P Rao (IIT Bombay, Mumbai). Prof Harry B Gray (California Institute of Technology) has been kind enough to write a few words of introduction to this issue.
The 25 articles (both critical reviews and original research) in this issue present some of the recent exciting developments at the interface of inorganic chemistry and biology. These articles are available at http://nopr.niscair.res.in/handle/123456789/11213.
We hope to communicate the excitement of recent developments in other frontier areas of chemistry with more special issues.
