UNESCO Contest of Writings Works and Drawings of the World Science Day for Peace and Development

Target to high school students, the competition has two categories: Drawings and Writings Works. This initiative is promoted by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in collaboration with institutions in the areas of education and science.
This year's edition of the UNESCO Contest of Writings Works and Drawings of the World Science Day for Peace and Development is about "Chemistry - our lives, our future."
This is an activity held in commemoration of two dates established by the United Nations: World Science Day for Peace and Development (November 10th) and the International Year of Chemistry (2011), and also referring to the centenary of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, Marie Curie.
Target to high school students, the competition has two categories: Drawings and Writings Works. This initiative is promoted by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in collaboration with institutions in the areas of education and science. Students may submit works or drawings until the 5th of September 2011.

In last year's edition, UNESCO received 563 drawings and 141 written works. The winners came from several Brazilian cities, such as Manaus (AM), São Paulo (SP), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), João Pessoa (PB), Irecê (BA), Parintins (AM), Itaboraí (RJ), Taquara (RS), Belo Horizonte (BH), Sao Luis (MA) and Wansbeck (DF).
