Papers are welcomed for a Special Issue in Chemistry Central Journal to celebrate the achievements of women in chemistry. As part of IYC 2011, Chemistry Central Journal is producing a Special Issue to highlight significant achievements by female chemists and to showcase a selection of current innovative research.
Papers are welcomed for a Special Issue in Chemistry Central Journal to celebrate the achievements of women in chemistry.
As part of the International Year of Chemistry 2011 (IYC 2011), Chemistry Central Journal is producing a Special Issue entitled “Women in Chemistry” to highlight significant achievements by female chemists, and to showcase a selection of current innovative research.
IYC 2011 is an IUPAC and UNESCO initiative to celebrate the achievements of chemistry and its contributions to humankind. The year 2011 coincides with the 100th anniversary of the Nobel Prize awarded to Marie Curie, and provides an opportunity to celebrate the contributions of women to science.
If you are interested in submitting a paper to this issue then we would welcome your contribution. Review, Commentary and Research papers, across all chemistry and related subject areas, are invited covering but not limited to:
- Achievements and contributions of women in chemistry
- Current innovative work
- Predictions for the future

You can submit your work to this Special Issue until the end of August 2011 (please mention in your covering letter that your paper is for this Special Issue).
